Austria’s Alps are blessed with a long and magnificent snow season, the high altitude of many of its mountains brings about ideal snowy conditions up until springtime. The country has some of the best winter sports infrastructure in Europe, perfectly groomed pistes suitable for all ages and skill levels, the best snow-making facilities and ski-hire equipment.

Austria is a very mountainous country with around 600 peaks over 3,000m high. Beyond the ski slopes, it offers numerous opportunities for mountaineering, long multi-pitch rock climbing routes and sport climbing. The highest Austrian peak is Grosslocker at 3,797m high.
