Chamonix backcountry skiing is the possibility for off-piste lovers to try powder skiing in one of the most beautiful and well-known ski resorts in the Alps.

We provide guided off-piste skiing in Chamonix Mont Blanc top destination including Gran Montets, Aiguille du Midì, Helbronner.

Explore with us Chamonix and the Mont Blanc mountain range and come to ski in one of the most exciting destination to ski off-piste in Europe.

We offer off-piste skiing and backcountry skiing guiding for private groups and individuals at all levels. Our guides will take care of every detail.

Description

There are itineraries for every level, also for people who want to try off-piste skiing for the first time. Our guides will take care of all the safety aspects. They give you advice on your technique and tell you about snow safety, local environment, history and traditions.

Our daily decisions where to find the best skiing for you are based on your skiing level, weather, snow conditions and avalanche safety aspects.

We recommend you to book 2 or more days of guiding at the time. We need time to get to know you and let you ski all the fantastic off-piste itineraries that are suitable for your level.

  • Grands Montets: Face Nord, Glacier, Pas de Chèvre
  • Aiguille du Midi: Envers du Plan
  • Helbronner (on the italian side): Glacier de Toule
  • Tour descents of Posettes and Trient, Couloirs du Brévent are recommended for snowboarding
  • Many others couloirs and itineraries for all skiing levels!

Prerequisites

You should be able to ski on black runs, on all types of snow. On all our programs snowboarders and telemarkers are welcome.

Equipment required

Technical equipment (possible to rent): off-piste skis, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, ABS backpack, helmet. For glacier skiing you need also harness, sling and carabiner.

The leading Guide is a fully certified IFMGA Montain Guide.

You can book this activity in any date/dates within the availability periods. We tailor your experience to meet your every need, from your fitness level to your skiing ability.

  • 1 pax: €380 per day
  • 2 pax: €200 per person per day
  • 3 pax: €140 per person per day
  • 4 pax: €110  per person per day

Itinerary

It is for you and your guide to decide the exact makeup of your booking however, these itinerary days shown below are an example of how a booking for this activity could be structured.

We will spend the day skiing using the lift system introducing you to some of the off-piste itineraries and getting to know you.

Depending on our progress on day 1, we will continue to explore the off-piste itineraries, looking for the best snow and giving you technical and safety hints as we ski.
